when you say towed, i assume you mean on a low loader? I thought towing a RRS would mess up the diffs or something |

Sounds like something on the timing side has failed (valve, valve spring, cam belt) or some part of the turbo letting go.

Common misunderstanding. You can't tow a 4x4 wheel free ie with two wheels on the ground as this will tear centre diff to bits. Issue with most range rovers is auto box. If you tow them too far then the auto box suffers from oil starvation as the pump is powered by input shaft from engine. As any bang from a land rover engine is never good, I sympathise deeply for your plight, as sat in same situation as you for last 7 weeks. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀 TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!! Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈 Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱 Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜 |
