2014 Facelift Discovery

No it's not a "picture issue" it's a Land Rover issue!!!!

I've asked my Stealer to find out:-

1. Why when the brochure specifically says "RR" wheel centres, it's turned up with "LR" ones. (Allegedly LR are trying to get away from "dual branding" so the RR ones are "dead").

2,. Why all the HSE Black photo's on the web (and the "car builder" onthe LR website) show a silver panel below the front number plate and mine is grey.

My stealer has e-mailed LR to find out why "delivered" isn't the same as "brochure" and Liam @ LRCRC is on the case for me as well.....or am I just being "picky"?

Well the silver in front/below the number plate is the part of the design pack/auto bio kit so you wont get that.

Considering LR have only just rolled dual branding out - i can believe, but find that answer hard to believe and the wheels look slightly more silver than the painted black ones i have seen...unless they are a cost option before the diamond turned...

Always worth following up.

If you look a the brochure shot below the "front towing eye cover" is silver and this is definatley NOT an A/B front lip bumper.

Does show something silver on the configurator though...mines also silver in effect maybe its a colour thing, just looked on one of my pictures of my car. Mike

2014 Facelift Discovery

Hi,

My wheels are the standard "style 6 " painted 5-spokes availabe for the HSE Black, chosen because the Grey and Black versions are "Diamond Turned" and the Wheel & Tyre insurance offered by my Stealer specifically excludes them. Living in the country, a rock is bound to leap out of a verge, especially when they are as wet as they are now, and nick the sidewall / an alloy so I wanted the insurance. To be honest, they didn't look any different to the one's I've already got on my TDV8 when they were side by side.

The front panel is definately not a "spec option" or dealer fit - I've got the "HSE Black" badge coming on special order via the VIN number as the Stealer has to order it "per vehicle" on the "LR Dealer Portal" and there was no mention of the front panel.

As I said, the Stealer (and Liam) are trying to find out about the wheel centres and the front panel especially as we (me & SWMBO) like the silver one.
