Yeah, I'm definitely going with genuine LR suspension parts. I'm getting quoted £413 for 2No. Front suspension arms and related bushs from my local LR dealer and £336 for labour..........bloody hell!! A total of nearly £900.

If you are getting the familiar knocking noises from the front suspension you could always try just renewing the ARB bushes first to see if that solves the problem. Regarding the suspension arms most garages simply order new arms complete with bushes because it is the quickest and easiest way. However it is possible to renew the bushes in your present arms but the garage needs to have the expertise and a suitable press or extraction and replacement tool to do it. This would be less expensive in parts but obviously a bit more labour cost is involved. The two most popular tyres on this forum are Toyo Proxes T1 Sport SUV and Hankook Ventus. Have a look on these suppliers's sites: Black Circles, MyTyres.co.uk and Camskill. These supplier's prices are VERY much lower than the KwikFit rip-off merchants and will send you the tyres by next day courier and all you have to do is get them fitted locally by a fitter with whom they have an arrangement. As an example I recently bought 4 Toyos for £611 delivered. Hope this helps. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE |

Looks as if LR029304 is a pattern part made by Allmakes which is why it is cheap. As said before I am not happy using pattern parts for critical components. Recommend speak to Dan at Duckworths about the bushes if you are going to renew the bushes in your existing suspension arms. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE |

LR029304 is the genuine LR number, but the parts listed on those sites are pattern alternatives.
