Hi Endjin
Car back from main dealer on Wed. Drove it home and in and out of it for last 5 days. No repeat of lag at moment. Dealer said they had done downloads and testing over the week they had it and now wanted me to tell them if car is ok. They did produce the fault on a test drive apparently. Not sure as to the function of a dealer now as they only seem to work via a computer and don't use a 'tool' anymore. Not sure if I am confident with the car! Good support from Nick at RR customer services but they didn't have to produce a big stick as the dealer apparently has fixed it.
Regards
John S

I have bought a RR sport HSE 2010 with 46000 miles.
Am suffering from a lag when I try to pull away from standing or slow. This is intermittent and lasts for 1-3 seconds but is becoming dangerous when jioning traffic as i am nearly at astandstill.
It also happened on motorway when traffic came to near standstill and we had to pull away.
Been to main dealer under warranty but they say car is perfect.
Am I being brushed aside. Very disappointed as I have waited a few years to have one.
Antbody got any views or info that can help.
Thanks
John
Hi, John I had this problem on my 08 MY 2.7 HSE.But it only happened when i floored the peddle. It was fine if i didn't actually floor it. Then i drove a brand new RRS on a Landrover Experience Day. I tried the same thing on it,and it did the same .Did not respond straight away. I mentioned it to the instructor, he said it was Turbo Lag. I do not floor my peddle anymore. And do not have the trouble anymore. Just a little lighter on the thrott Very Happy le itisme

I think people need to remember that the ecu has a shed load of things to sort in the nano second you apply WOT compared to applying the throttle steadily (as you'd usually do)

Fly by wire technology is great for ecconomy and engine management, buit not ideal for instant throttle responce RRS gone
Audi SQ5...Gone Audi Q7 S-Line 240 3.0TDI Gone

Many of the sports car marques get round it by having a "button" to press (Race for Ferrari, M sport for BMW, s# in Subaru etc etc)

This tells the ecu you're going to be driving it hard, give me everything & blow the mpg/smoothness

Obviously the RRS aint no sports car (even though Dynamic mode seams to bridge the gap slightly) RRS gone
