England 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Ipanema Sand
Lag on pulling away in RR V6 sport.

I have bought a RR sport HSE 2010 with 46000 miles.
Am suffering from a lag when I try to pull away from standing or slow. This is intermittent and lasts for 1-3 seconds but is becoming dangerous when jioning traffic as i am nearly at astandstill.
It also happened on motorway when traffic came to near standstill and we had to pull away.
Been to main dealer under warranty but they say car is perfect.
Am I being brushed aside. Very disappointed as I have waited a few years to have one.
Antbody got any views or info that can help.
Thanks
John

Sticky EGR valves most likely. Get dealer or specialist to plug in diagnostic laptop. The error logs will show what the fault is for certain.Sounds like your dealer is shirking from the problem for some reason. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Selling seems a bit radical! Surely worth a second opinion. The lag you refer to is definitely NOT normal, your car is still under LR warranty so take it to another dealer. If they say it's normal then ask to take out another V6 for a test. You could also contact LR customer service dept. one of them is actually on this forum, you could pass the details to him. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Didnt we talk about a problem on here relating to an acceleration lag and it turned out to be the throttle position sensor (or similar name)

Also i would try to drop it a gear manually to see if its something liked to that. Mike

Hmmm, I've heard ok things about their service dept, but did have a similar issue a few (eight) years back when I had my FL1, they didn't seem that interested in getting to the bottom of the problem.

I'd definitely try and get a second opinion. Colchester (Lookers again) is only just up the A12 and seemed very helpful when I've been in there. Worth a try Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

I have had this problem - had software update a year ago and brake switch sensor replaced twice this year then recalibrated before it appears to be cured Thumbs Up

It can also be touching brake pedal when you accelerate that seems to cause a conflict and confuse the car for a few seconds Rolling Eyes Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Well John,
Looks like there are plenty of examples where people have had this problem caused by various different
faults. Mine was definately caused by Faulty EGR Valves, But, obviously based on all these replies, your dealer needs to re asses their opinion. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black
