RRS engine issue

When I put my foot to the floor in my TDV6 I get the special programs off error and the car loses power - soon as I slow right down or stop the car can be driven off again like normal.

Fine day to day, only happens at high speed with foot to the floor.

I've got turbo or EGR valve in the back of my mind - any ideas?

Thanks

Iceland

If you're lucky, it'll just be a split in the intercooler hose - new OEM one is about £50 or an upgraded silicone one that'll last longer from Bell Automotive (site sponsor) for around £100.

Thanks for the reply.

Where should I be looking to identify it?

Thanks

REVs fine when stationary, no issues.

Strange one.

Revving fine when stationary is no indication that all is well, when the car is running at speed, the ECU takes all sorts of input such as load on engine, intake air temps, fuel temperature, and plenty more to make a decision on how much fuel to inject and maybe how much boost to allow into the engine.

So the parameters for fuelling will be wildly different on the run and a split hose would not manifest itself much when stationary but would show up on a run.

Very little fuel draw when reved stationary so not a test for restricted fuel supply. Very Happy
