TDV6 2.7 Remap ECU - Experiences and Lessons learned..

Ok so a friend let me take their TDV6 for a quick run... night and day different so now considering it - the throttle seemed to pickup a lot quicker and with more boost over taking a less risky prospect. Laughing

Any other experiences with this engine, decent tuners in Edinburgh, Central Scotland?

Any proven dyno plots before and after?

Check out the site sponsors list... Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Had both my v6's mapped. Got rid of the delay in throttle response, and went well, I think it was 227 bhp. Had mine done by DMS in Southampton but that was 2005-6. From memory standard TDV6 was fairly lifeless although I managed to get done for speeding on way to get car chipped Laughing Rolling Eyes 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

Australia 2012 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 SE Santorini Black

I had a superchips reflash of my ECU .....huge difference on the 3.0L so expect any upgrade to the 2.7 would be just as effective......
Gave mine a good run last weekend out in the country and even my wife was impressed how well it went ......pulled like a freight train all the way ....looked down at speedo while overtaking and was past 160kmh......hmmmmm MY12 RRS Black, with a few extras.

Cheers gents.

The 2.7 is starting to feel really gutless... decent MPG to be fair but really needs a kick when overtaking to my mind

the extra 100 lbs of torque (coming in slightly sooner iirc) really wakes up the 2.7 and makes it a superb engine.

Thats a lot, the bhp figure is improved but the torque is whats needed

I wonder however the con rods with this additional stress will be up for the job (read: over a period of time)

By all accounts the TDV6 has a sturdy bottom end

The jag runs a twin turbo set up so I'd expect the torque to climb higher on that than with the single on the RRS.

I think max torque is the same at 1900rpms though RRS gone

The group buy has now ended, so price has gone back up.

We would always be willing to run another group buy if there was enough interest though Thumbs Up Strathearn Engineering

Hi l stay in the Falkirk area and had my car remapped it had plenty of poke and smoke,l took it back
and got them to put the factory settings back on.l then researched the various tuners discounted a few
only because of the travel distances involved.Superchips were the only ones who where offering a money
back guarantee it cost £450 from a lad who is based at East Calder,it has been on now for a year and its
all plusses with no probs or smoke.you should get a local agent on there website.
Cheers Tommy
