United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black
2006 tdv6 gone, 2010 tdv8 arrived :)

So after 5 1/2 years great service, I'm trading the TDV6 in for a TDV8 Smile

I spotted a car at a dealership with a great spec - pretty much as I'd have ordered myself, so have decided to swap. Mine has done me no wrongs, and only has 47k on the clock, but there is an issue developing which is going to cost me sooner or later, so why not upgrade to V8 power instead eh !?!

This is the present ride (albeit after a valet) ...

and the new ride will be with me early next week.

Its a 2010 TDV8 in Santorini, with Ivory and Grand Piano Back interior, sunroof ( gotta have a sunroof Smile ) original 20" 5 spokes, contrast stitching, rear dvd ( we've had two kids since the tdv6 arrived !), extended leather, privacy, and iPod plus a few other little bits. Its a one owner car, supplied and looked after by the dealer, and its been traded in by the owner who has gone for a FFRR.

I haven't seen it yet, but the dealership assure me its perfect ( and why shouldn't I trust Stratstone, Nottingham ( !?! Wink ) so I'll see it Saturday morning to finalise the deal.

I'll be sad to see ZZK go, but excited to get the TDV8 Smile

I'll upload pics once I get it back here, and look forward to spending more time back on the forum, as I haven't been around much of late Sad

Tony

So the deal is done, and I have the 2010 TDV8, and what a difference !!! Its so much more drivable than the TDV6, with more power, and a great sounds too - subtle but definitely V8 Smile

The car had one previous owner, and has a great spec, pretty much what I would have ordered new with a sunroof, ivory interior with contrast ebony stitching, extended leather, Grand Black wood, 5 spoke 20" alloys ( from the factory ), Rear Seat Entertainment, Hybrid TV, iPod, Premium Ice and Privacy too.

I've already tinkered and fitted the 2012 black front and side grills straight away, the mud flaps also went on, and the black door handles are installed too.

Thats it for now, as I'm just going to enjoy driving it, but may do a bit more colour coding of the lower trims later on, and AB wheels too.

Cheers
Tony

Thanks all, and yes you must have a sunroof ! Cant say I open it that often but its nice to have glass above your head - gives the cabin an airy feel Smile

Don't worry Ady, the weekend after next is booked for cleaning it up Wink

Font windows are getting a mild and nearly legal tint too.

Scotland 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 SE Santorini Black

Looks superb, I am now hankering after those wheels!!
I wanted a sunroof on mine, to as you say open up the interior, but the demo one I tried didn't have as much headroom as without!?!? If it had been the fancy new bonded ones like the freelanders or evoque then I dare say it would have been ok for me.(not particularly tall, 6'2")
Cheers

Looks very very nice, as for the sun roof, well I guess it's OK if you are vertically challenged Whistle and don't spend to much time in a sunny climate. Rolling with laughter In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
