STOP...... AND LISTEN

THE FINANCE COMPANY OWN THE RRS

THE FINANCE COMPANY OWN THE Q7

YOU OWN 16K

That is todays position

Irrespective of what bits of paper ect you've signed or discussions you've had, you have given away your car for 16k, which was an extremely foolish position to put yourself into. This whole situation has the potential to go badly wrong for you, very quickly.

The fact that this guy had 16k and didn't clear off the finance before selling would suggest that its possibly something underhand. Sensible approach would have been to pay the finance company the outstanding on the Q7, then offer you the car and the balance in a payment from the finance he arrange with this "dealer".

Taking a step back for a moment mate you've done a deal at 28k for your car.... for a 2007 TDV6 SE with 39k on it thats crazy money irrespective of what kit its got on it. Theres an old saying... if its seems to good to be true... it probably is. Having not been privy to the conversations regards your car and his and what was stated ect i suspect your now stuck between a rock and a hard place. I wouldn't be handing over any more money thats for sure, if the guys up for resolving the situation your going to have to work with him which might mean putting your car right.

Im local to you so might be able to point you in the direction of someone who can fix it, what is it thats wrong with it?

Out of interest which garage dealt with the HPI ect, feel free to PM if you would rather.

Some very constructive advice for you Eazy, and a helping hand thrown in, you would be wise to heed this advice. Thats just my 2p worth, from the outside looking in. Nevertheless I hope you manage to resolve it....in your favour of course.
One thing of note, I believe any action that you may want to pursue would be purely civil, as you have discussed and agreed this deal, ie you were fully aware of what he was offering, just because it hasnt worked out or is proving difficult, does not make it a criminal matter, albeit some of the actions may be deemed to have been underhand, ie applying for finance etc. Current transport : Audi S4 V8 Cabriolet, Suzuki GSXR600 K1

Scotland 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Bonatti Grey

Bottom line is... its fraud, you cannot legally sell on a car if it has outstsanding finance, you have every right to go to the police. Id speak to the guy as you know him and tell him unless the finance is paid then you have to report him, end of !

Or swap back round and walk away, or last option you pay off the finance yoursell ! 2006 TDV6 HSE,
Bonatti Grey,
20" Stormers,
Side Steps,
Limo Tint Windows,
Supercharger Grill & Vents,
Tail Pipe Covers.

Today we came to an agreement that i would fix the car found a garage that would fix it for 1k. He called up blackhorse and has cleared the q7 finance after long discussions last night about it! thank god . got a buyer for the q7 also at 15k. so seems like im making around 29k for the range rover. so happy it has been resolved.

thanks for the advice guys it kept me straight.
