Excellent choice I'm not that lucky as I only have a little old 4.2 I have driven the 5ltr and it is a beast you will not be disapointed.

Good to know its powerful as Ill be coming from an Evo9 so will need something to still give me a rush, albeit not as manic as the Evo

You will get a rush from the SC, rest assured on that. it will also be a lot more comfortable.

Of course l miss the speed of it. It was running 603 bhp & 624 lbft when l sold it so (despite its weight) it was fairly lively to say the least. The folding roof was epic too. However, l did have a lot of warranty work done on it by MB which was disappointing considering it was £117k new.

I had one of the first SL55's back in 03...and all I can say ... it was a beast... lovely noise gr8 torque and like off a shovel off the line....

I would love both but Ive moved to Malaysia for work and even an SL300 here retails at around £160k new and a Range Sport SC roughly £135k new with tax at over £2k a year. I will not be buying new thats for sure but used prices are still pretty high.
