Actually, ignoring the Kahn variants (which is always the best option IMHO ) I actaully have to say that I like it. I think it really does look like a modern take on the classic Defender.  2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Don't forget that this is only the first of a series of design concepts over the next 4 years that will lead to the new defender...don't get to hung up yet!

Looks very Hummer like to me. Warming to it but the Defender is iconic in many ways. A rufty, tufty box on wheels. If I could have one to play with at weekends, like many do, then I would.

As someone who passed his driving test in an air portable SWB rag top landie, all i can say is about bloody time.. Nothing wrong with the concept design, no doubt it will evolve over the next few years before it is released... Another Pommie Bar Steward down under
