Fuel Cap

Hi,

Sure someone will have a quick answer! Had problems removing fuel cap this morning, as it turned it didn't make the normal clicking sound. When removed the black round seal was not on the fuel cap. It needs to go back on but cannot work out which way it goes back on! Raised bumps on one side, smooth on the other - which side goes face down? So long winded way of saying how do I put the seal back on!

Local LR dealer closed due bank holiday otherwise would have just asked them!

Apologies if not a very good description, just hoping someone either knows or can have a look on other RRS TDV8.

Many thanks in advance

SPJ

Just had a look at mine to see if I could help but it doesn't look like your description. I wonder if they have changed the design?
My car is a 2010 model. If you post your model year, perhaps someone with the same year car will be able to help. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Scotland 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Hi spj

had a look at mine (2007) the rubber strap that is attached to the car goes on first and then the plastic collar (looks like it can only go on one way due to the design)clips on to the yellow bit.

hope this helps Kiel
