United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Bonatti Grey
New owner incoming...(!)...

Morning you lot!

Been reading this forum for a bit and it's damm good! Very informative and friendly. Ordered the RRS a week or so ago, for July/August delivery.

...oh how the days drag on and on now...(!)

Wondering what diffrerence the Dynamic pack makes to the ride of the Sport??...

I have a bit of a lumbar back problem that comes and goes so not looking to add anything to the car that will..err...stiffen the ride so to speak..Any of you guys (or gals or course) know if the DP does this?

Cheers,
S.

JayMann has dynamic fitted but as a general rule, the bigger the wheel/lower profile the tyre, the firmer the ride will be.

I have 19's at the mo but will be upgrading to 20's (Minus full dynamic pack) and expect a slight deteriation in ride quality.

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Stornoway Grey

Well, I reckon I can speak from a position of experience, I have a Supercharged that has the DP on as standard, and I've done over 12K in it so far.

I would say the ride is superb, I don't think the DP makes a huge difference to the general ride quality, as the air suspension soaks up the bumps very well, everyone who has been a passenger in mine says how relaxing it is. It is designed to allow comfort in a straight line and better performance handling in the bends.

Where the DP comes into it's own is in the cornering. It flattens the suspension so there's less of the classic RR roll around the corners. It's the best handling full size 4wd I have ever driven.

The manual lumbar adjustment on the seats is OK, not brilliant, but I like a firm lumbar region on my seat and I've never been uncomfortable.

We have a lot of speed humps in our area and driving over these at normal speeds (not slowing to a crawl like most people) and the RRS with DP copes VERY well.

If you can spec it, do it. L319 D4 HSE

Christ Jaymann, I've just clocked that up today on a wee jaunt round the west of Scotland................. and the car is just getting better and better. I have now covered 383 miles today and the fuel gauge is showing right bang slap on half way, although it will be interesting to see what it drops to tomorrow morning when I start her up. Trip computer shows 29.9mpg for the day's run too which has been a brilliant trip on nearly empty roads from home to Calander then up the A85, A82 to Glencoe, a side trip down Glen Etive and back then up to Fort William, and home via A828 to Oban,A816 to Crinan/Lochgilphead then A83 to Inveraray, Arrochar and down the west side of Loch Lomond and home. The sun shone the whole day and the roads have very few caravaners or those who like to admire the view and drive at 35 on a decent road, so was able to press on at a goodly crack. Guys if you want to come to Scotland to have a good drive then that is one of the best day drives there is - and now is the time of year to do it. Sure beats working on a sunny day! I clocked up the 10000th mile in Glen Etive:

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

Tim, nice pictures. That sure does sound like a nice drive, I was up in Inverness for the launch of Disco 2. The scenery up that way is breath taking.

I have often thought about a touring holiday around Scotland, maybe next year. . .

Shmoogle - That is a very old photograph. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

It is - but one of the first spewed out by Google images Wink

The first ever holiday me and the Mrs took was a driving tour of Scotland. Really really gorgeous - flew to Edinburgh, picked up a Disco 2 (!!!) and drove over to Glasgow and then up the west coast and across to Skye. Then back over to Inverness and back down to Edinburgh. Took about a week, with plenty of top notch hotels, food and drink on the way. Fantastic! Thumbs Up
