Rear Diff problems

Has anyone had previous problems with rear diff?

my RRS has been into the garage today and I have been told that it needs to be replaced, I am coverd under warrenty so its not too much of a problem was just wondering if anyone else had anything simliar happen to them?

Also need new rear brake pads been told going to cost 160pound does this sound about rite?

Doesnt help that am not in the country at the moment and my mrs is dealing with it!!

I have been out of the uk for the past 6weeks so only going on what the mrs told me that she heard a screchin noice a couple of times only when she was going under 10mph, I thouught it may have been a wheel bearing.

She said she only heard it twice and was listen out for it at all times.

Just got a quote from noth eastern 4x4 to do the rear brakes for 90 pound aswell so booked in for tuesday morning.

Has anyone used north eastern before or heard about them?
