Best polisher or wax for black rrs

Thanks to everyone re wheel cleaner and sealant going for wolf. Can any one suggest an easy to use polish/wax for rrs and are electric pollsters any good or do they harm the paint work? RRS

Autoglym Super Resin Polish followed by Autoglym Extra Gloss protection works well on black. If youre really keen you can top this with a coat of Collinite 476S and its good for 6 months.

If you get a dual action rotary apparently its virtually ( Rolling with laughter ) impossible to damage the paintwork. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

I would use something along the lines of auto glym super resin polish to do the paint work polishing, cheap and does exactly what it supposed to do and gives great results but has fillers which mask swirls and light scratches

so you want to lock these fillers in, and these best done with a wax, my choice is Collinite 476s, a very thin layer, with a 2nd layer 12 to 24 hours later will give a good long lasting shine

I have just machine polished my car with a Meguiers G220 Dual action polisher, you need to work the polish until it breaks down, normally 5minutes on a 1'x1' section, obviously this takes a lot of time to do a full car, work too fast and try cut corners you could leave you car with holograms and a very swirly paint finish

A DA polisher is safer to use than a rotory, as you have less chance of burning through the paints lacquer, but wont speed up the polishing process you take longer as more care is needed etc 12 hours it took me the other week to wash prep and polish and that wasn't correcting the paintwork

DO NOT USE AUTOGLYM SUPER RESIN POLISH

I used this for the first time the other week and applied it by hand, it has left some horrible marks on the black paintwork which the pro's call "hologramming".

I'm now left with the chore of getting rid of said marks Censored

Stick with Megs products, you cant go wrong!

I used it for about 4/5 years - never ever ever had a problem...its dead simple to apply - there isnt really a trick to it - there is a nack to get it right - just follow the instructions.

Personally (and as i was advised) you shouldnt use the resin polish too soon as on a new car its not needed - first time i applied it was about 13months in

After the resin polish apply a protection sealant and your done.

Its really great stuff - i was 100% converted.

All i can think you did was not pay attention to your cloth(s) Mike

Ive got light scratches out on green and black - but the key i found was the type and cleanliness of the application and buffing cloth.

The slightest contamination and i just threw it away - each used one was washed and during use they were all regularily turned. Mike

I applied it by hand, obviously not worked it enough!

I've been told to use some IPA alcohol to buff it off, see how I get on Whistle
