I can see cracked off bits around the centre cap

I believe, the only time this section comes in contact is when the balance the tyre, put wheel on machine and then clamp it on, normally by spinning the clamp tight then a gental nip by hand, nothing that would dent alloy, I assume

Then back in contact when the wheel goes back on, on but this is damage to the face, On both my thoughts, I would have thought the impact will have been from behind

How are you coming to say they did this? Bar the fact you believe the damage wasn't there prior

Looking at it again

It looks like they have put the centre cap in but not matched up the shape to the hole

But don't these have to be put in from the back? Did they forget to and try to hammer it in from the front or something

Damage is damage, what if it were your car? Response to Nick

These wheels cost me over £3000, so why should i pay to repair the damage that someone else has done? More importantly it was in the hands of a so called professional who thinks it's ok to damage people property and not repair it. And if the damage is so minor, then why not repair it Nick. I don't expect to take my car to a garage and them smack my beloved alloys around, do you?
No it's not the end of the world in the grand scheme of things. But it is my right to be treated fairly. But thanks Nick for putting it into perspective for me Wink

They tried to take the caps off from the front and it looks like they have done it with a hammer a chisel. They obviously did not know what they were doing. More importantly they are not willing to repair the damage, which i believe to be outrageous. So like i said before if anyone has been unfortunate to have had dealing like this with a garage, then any feedback about their case would be appreciated.

Then either do a vendor chargeback on your credit card if thats how you paid or start procedings in the Small Claims Court.
If you are sure he did the damage just fight him all the way it won't cost you much, definately worth the hassle.

Now you say, it does look like they have tried to prize the caps off, using the alloy edge as leverage

I would suggest you pursue their insurance company, if he will tell you who it is and maybe trading standard etc

Thankyou Johnny for reassuring me i'm not an over reactive mad hatter! I don't have endless amounts of cash to pay out for other peoples mistakes and i work bloody hard for what i have. So your comment at this time is much appreciated Wink

Agree with Nick here. Your talking about the center caps? They should use a cloth around the screw driver to remove them. But they dont look in perfect condition to me,bolts a little rusty ?? Any way still should not damage others property. SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.

No you are quite right they shouldn't damage other peoples property. A little dirt around a bolt is not gouging someones alloys up when removing caps. My point is my point, they were damaged by the garage while they were changing the tyres and the worse thing is they wont repair the damage they caused. I'm not asking them to repair damage they haven't done.
