Seat covers

When I collected my sport from the stealer the other day I asked them to supply me with a set on brand new front covers for the seats and arm rests. The stealer fitted them but by the time I got home they were off. They just seem to slide about on the leather.

Has anyone else had problems with them?

I have some black seat covers for when im dirty (no not that dirty)
But yes they slide off and to be honest they are more annoying than they are worth!!! Which is a shame as they are a OE product.

I just invested in a great leather cleaner instead.! Smile

My worry is staining the seats with new black or blue jeans. I have ivory leather which looks very smart. However I now know that stains and scratches can be removed as when I first viewed the car it had wear, stains and a couple of scratches on the leather. But since the stealer got the leather repair chap in there the leather looks great again.

I also have a chap who pro cleans my car every month and he carries all the leather cleaning kit as well.

Think I might remove the covers and keep them for the days I slip arse over tit in a muddy field while trying to photograph another Scottish castle Laughing

I have just removed mine. The seats look far better without them. I will keep them in the rear right wing cubby area for a rainy day as I paid a lot of money for them.

I don't have a problem keeping front seat covers in place (genuine LR) - and they are on all the time.
What works for me is to ensure that the semi hard plastic tube sewn into the cover between the base and back parts of the cover is pushed right into and through the gap between the base cushion and the seat back and also to tuck the cover fully between the hard plastic seat side cover (where the power controls are) and the cushion.

Did the dealer give you the fitting instructions? If not they are here - (see pictures 4&5 in particular)

Ello, yea I did get the instructions, and me tube was in the proper place.
I think my problem is the size of my arse. I am quite a big bloke and me arse is.... Well let's just say more than ample. So every time I get in my butt cheeks drag the cover over then they try to eat the cover during the journey.
