I dropped the 19" spare on my 2011 car and it looked tight - not sure you could get a 20" in but certainly not a 22"

I thought my Supercharged has a 20"? They look the same but just black... anyone know. I would try it but all 4 are on the car, and the 20" I would buy is on eBay! ALSO - I'm in the process of fixing the cable lift that lowers and lifts the spare as some twonk broke it, probably that same twonk (AA Man) that jacked my car up on the compressor, LandRover have kindly provided me with a £656 quote to fix! |

Yes they are all 20 - i was saying you may squeeze a 20" in but certainly not a 22" if there was any doubt!

Yeah saw that mate - Thanks, saved £90 though drilling the rivets, fixing the cable then sticking some flat headed bolts in to hold it all back together. - Just got to get round to fixing it back on. Just need someone to confirm that you can fit a 20" spare wheel under the car. MMM |

Good point especially as the low profile tyres dont deflate too much to not fit! Mike

As the diameter of the wheel increases the profile of the tyre decreases so you end up with an overall outside diameter that's the same - other wise the speedometer, sta nav etc would all neeed recoding when LR fited different wheel/tyre options.

whilst that is true to a point, you do recallibrate for the different tyre sizes there are options to set the tyre size to adjust the speed. In the old days that was a different gear, but now its a option in one of the ECU's Mike 2014 Facelift Discovery |
