While in France my screen cracked from the base to half way up on LHS; got the RRS back in UK and spoke to dealers who restate that because other systems interact with the screen and the car is still under warranty a OEM screen needs to be fitted.

autoglass fitted an oem screen to my car....autoglass rang my insurance company to ask for permission to fit it, ...no problem though, took couple of days to get it but OEM screen fitted.

Didn't have the same luck with my insurers Direct Line who refused to cover the expense of an OEM part and only agreed to pay out £125 maximum contribution as it was MY choice not to use an "auhtorised supplier"! even though it was a Land Rover dealer.

the screen that Autoglass fit is identical. The dealer lies to you, wow, big shock there.

and seriously, if you allow yourself to be fobbed off with "not OEM" should your wipers etc fail then you should be ashamed of yourself!

that's weird, was it still a Pilkington sheet? the LR and non-LR stamped screens are identical, but I can understand being about not having the opticool/PV if that's what your original piece had
