blackberry.. update software and bluetooth stops working?

I updated 0S/6 fro 6.00.294 to 6.00.498 and it killed bluetooth. It's still possible to discover LANDROVER, connect via 2121 etc.. but the phone then says "connection failed" when trying to complete the process. Once in a blue moon (1 in 20 tries) it will connect, but the address book is screwed up. Anyway, 498 didn't really add much so I downgrade back to 294.. and all was fine again.

Any ideas?

Same has happened on brothers D3, so i will tell him to uninstall update Thumbs Up Thumbs Up MY10 3.0 HSE Santorini Black, Ivory Premium & extended leather, privacy, paddles, diamond turned alloys, Ipod lead that charges, tasmods, rrsport.co.uk stickers

Jeep 4.0 High Output XJ 94 6" teraflex lift, c/w rear coils, 9500lb winch, 35" TSL super swamper boggers, safari snorkel, custom made bumpers, tom woods custom double cardon driveshaft, twin electric fans. Don't follow it..............you wont make it. The first 4 x 4 by far.

i may have a solution that effectively upgrades to 480(498) but over writes the bluetooth .cod files (there are 4 specific files) with the files from the previous verions (298). This might actually kill the phone so I will try it and let you know!

bumping this.. MY10 has the same problem so sticking with .294 for the time being ============

2007 TDV8 HSE - superb car and very reliable

2012 - dearly departed, sadly missed.. to return in late 2013 with a new TDV8!
