A Proud Owner of A New 2011 RRS ! Siberian Silver.

I have just been in my dealership and bought the display model.

HSE 2011 Model.
Siberian Silver with full colour coding
Ebony Full Premium Leather

Ipod Connectivity Lead

Grand Black Lacquer
Premium Carpet Mats
Digital Television
Steering Wheel Paddle Shifts

Take delivery of it on Tuesday Once the Privacy Glass has been fitted

Question is ..... Do I get side steps?

Must say nice car, good colour, but I'm afraid aftermarket privacy glass looks terrible and tacky on RRS, as you can see all the window elements.
Factory fit Privacy glass or nothing for me !!
Each to their own I guess

I can not agree with you there davyo. After market tints are miles better than the factory ones, even if you see the elements at least it won't look like a van.

Excellent choice, lovely colour combo, please don't go to dark with the tints, you don't need black van factory tints just a nice smoke and enjoy.

Thanks a lot for the comments. Im not planning on going too dark with the tints. They are going to be done by the company that my dealer recommended. Ill post the pictures when its done on Monday.

As for the side steps, I might run the car a month and see if i actually need them, Getting in and out in a skirt could prove tricky without im guessing. However, I don't think the puddle lights will be needed yet....i'm not planning on parking in puddles, fords or rivers just yet. But thanks, it something to think about in future.

Leave it as it is and enjoy.. There are benefits to the side steps (personally I don't like the look) but the downside is that when they are dirty and you are getting in and out of the car, it's very easy to get the back of your trousers covered in muck as they stick out a long way from the sill..

Up to you though.. Really lovely looking car.

Lovely colour! Not a big fan of painted sills though!
Sidesteps are good for kids and short people, I find that if I am in one with steps I just end up with the back of my trousers dirty as they stick out too far! ( the side steps that is - I don't wear flares!)
My 7 year old daughter struggles to get in mine as I don't have steps, but I just get into the habbit of sticking it in access mode .

Misery is right . this is the reason i did not order privacy! SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.

Apparently there are 4 shades of tints I can choose... Limousine Black will not be one of them.

As for the side steps.. I dont really wear trousers much, so this could be a huge problem as I dont really want to be turning up to a meeting in a dress with dirty legs... Not a good look.
