Pcking new car up today...or so i thought!

Went to pick up the rrs and was pretty excited, this didn't last long however.
As the salesman was bringng the car round to the front of the show room a suspension warning light popped up resulting in car going nowhere.
Talk about disappointment, i'd been looking forward to getting the car all week.
Anyway, in the meantime the garage have given me a brand new Freelander HSE until Tuesday/Wednesday when they will deliver my car.

That's not good. Mind you I started reading that and thought you was gonna say he had pranged it in the snow on the way round. Could have been worse. Hope it gets sorted soon Thumbs Up

Sorry to hear that NIK, Its never a good start when you collect a car and there is a fault before you drive it off. At least the dealer did the right thing and gave you a loan car and offered to deliver it providing they get it fixed permanently and when promised. You should be cheeky and ask for a free service for the inconvenience. Current 2007 RRS S/C HST Premium Edition

In a way i'm glad it happend when it did rather than on my way home.

I like your thinking regarding a 'cheeky' request for a free service Thumbs Up

I've been getting that message recently. But it's only when it's freezing outside. Anyone else have that? WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

Finally got my hand on the car today Thumbs Up
Never owned an auto before so its taking a little getting used to, not to mention the size of the car!

Does anyone know if you need an extension piece to mount a towball cycle rack (Thule) or is the standard removable towbar all thats required.

No doubt i'll post more questions as they crop up.

Nik.

Standard towball is fine with the Thule bike racks. We've got a Thule Revolver and it works a treat. I'd definitely recommend one that swings out of the way of the boot. 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey with Alpaca premium leather, Adaptive cruise, Adaptive Bi-xenons, sunroof, Premium Nav, Premium ICE Logic 7, telephone, active locking rear diff, console coolbox, seat memory, powerfold mirrors, tow pack, window tint, dual battery, engel fridge, Goodyear Mud-Terrain tyres.

Thanks. The reason i asked is because my brother inlaw was told by a certain main dealer ending in 'stones' you did need an extension.
Thule it is then......
