I haven't a clue what could have caused engine failure at that low a mileage.

My first bit of advise is don't use Guy Salmon Thames Ditton. Saying that I doubt their diagnostic is wrong and unfortunately you're in for an expensive bill that's why I would get an inde LR service centre to do the work it'll be less on the labour. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Hmmm I wouldn't suspect an engine failure with them symptoms !! Did they even look at it or did they take your word for it? I'd get a second opinion from another dealer as it sounds more like an electrical problem than a mechanical one!! If it aint broke leave it!

Doesn't sound like the engine was seized when they got the car - if someone tried testing it without remembering to put back the oil, then it may be seized now....
