I've just been to the stealer to upgrade the software on my 2007 TDV8's bluetooth module (after reading the posts on this forum) so I can see the phonebook over bluetooth and they insist that an update cannot be done as there isn't an update available. They tell me that IDS isn't around any more and their SDD system says it can't be done, no update available. Any thoughts? I'd love to prove the dealer wrong by getting this upgrade done.

Need m. and blackberry loaded into 'the beast', a TDV8. Had the vehicle for 5 months now,
but last few days went from Newcastle to Sidmouth, and back via Salisbury Wilts. A total of
880 miles I reckon.

I understand the software issues; many a time you cannot get away from this and completing this work.

And who is doing it; surely not the dealer?

Thanks for the reply Bobby. I saw that post, and others, that's why I took the car to the dealer to get the software upgraded. They told me that it can't be done. They don't have IDS any more and their new SDD system tells them that the software is up to date. Personally I think the dealer doesn't know what they're talking about and the software they think is up to date is actually the engine management software and not the bluetooth software. I'm desperate to prove the man wrong.
