HELP!! SAT NAV unit has packed in! (I think...)

Hi Folks,

I'm a newbie to the forum. I'm having a nightmare with the Sat Nav unit under the passenger seat.

I bought a 09/10 DVD from Navteq as the old disc seems to have no knowledge of recent roads - llike the M25 Laughing . Anyway, I tried to eject the old disc to put in the new, and when I looked at the unit it lookes a bit squashed, so the old disc wouldn't come out. I carefully put a credit card in above the disc, then pressed eject - and out it popped.

I removed the unit and managed to 'unsquash' it so the disc goes in and out okay now. However... the display now says "Insert MAP DVD" and when I do - it say "Inserted disc is not a map DVD". Dammit.

Looking at the unit (my RRS is a 2005/55 HSE model) it looks corroded underneath - alomost as if a drink was spilt years ago, and sligtly rusted one corner. That said - it worked okay (as well as the RRS Satnav does) until my bright idea of updating the sat nav disc.

My question is: Has anyone else had this happen, and does it mean a new DVD/Sat nav unit? If it does - where can I get one without being robbed by the main stealer. I need some help!
