Not ready for me to pick up until this Saturday Big Cry

How long can it take for a dealer to slap his sticker on the back window? (Longer than it takes me to rip it off again!) Sad Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

Looks nice, liking the wheels also but byheck they be a Censored to clean

my advice is get some G-techniq C5 wheel armour on and you'll be able to just jet wash them
down, going to be giving mine a going over with it once they are fully cleaned

Well, I've been quiet for the last 2 weeks (busy & away), but thought I should give an update after I FINALLY picked my car up on the Saturday morning…

No problems with the car whatsoever; there's a minor paint scratch inside the drivers door frame but that can wait for now, apart from that it's been fantastic and I've loved every minute, though only about 200 miles on the clock so far! Have to say though, this is my 5th Land Rover but it's the first time I've felt compelled to store the number for Land Rover Assistance on my mobile.

I'm actually astonished at what sort of fuel economy I can get out of the TDV6 too - I drove the 50 mile trip to Manchester Airport earlier this week, half on single-carriageway rural A road, half on motorway. Traffic was busy but moving, so it was a very gentle and quite slow journey (average 50mph), but I got 36MPG! I know the computer thing isn't the most accurate measure, but impressive all the same! I did go for the flappy paddles in the end which means I can knock the gearbox up a gear if I want to which probably helps the economy, though the gearbox does seem to get it spot on 90% of the time. Driving back I was able to stay at 70 on the motorway and 50-60 on the A road and I still got 31mpg out of it. That really isn't that much worse than my FL2. Of course, it's not always driven like that though…

I went for the SE with a few extras (fridge, DAB, front parking sensors, rear view camera) and wondered if I would think any of these were a waste of money or if I would wish I had ordered anything else. So far, glad I got all the extras and I think the only HSE stuff I might have considered with hindsight are the perforated leather seats (the SE ones look a little basic perhaps) and, surprisingly, the keyless entry. I thought that keyless entry was something that I could quite comfortably live without, and I think that would be the case if it wasn't for the keyless ignition. The amount of times I've got in the car with the keys in my hand from unlocking it, only to have to get out again to comfortably put them back in my pocket to drive off! Still, it's a lot of money extra for he keyless entry so maybe that's money I could put to better use.

Bit miffed that a few weeks ago when I started cleaning up my FL2 to sell the birds around here must have changed their flight paths and ever since then have been crapping right over where I park my car, so I have to wipe the stuff off just about every day.

So, so far so good, and no regrets about what I ordered (especially the anigre trim). I've got a couple of questions, but I'll post them elsewhere... Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

I love keyless go! Not so much the unlocking the car but not having to put the key in the ignition is something you very used to. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

I would like to say that the keyless function is amazing. When I travel alone, I just get in the car with the keys in my pocket, start the engine and take off. However, when travel with passengers, I have to get the key out to open all the doors, which I already find annoying lol - I then wish I was travelling alone. Laughing Spoiled by technology... Cool LR should have a voice command for opening all the doors Rolling with laughter Vadim A.

Vadim - Just touch the handle for the rear door and it unlocks all doors and not just drivers, simples Laughing MY10 3.0 HSE Santorini Black, Ivory Premium & extended leather, privacy, paddles, diamond turned alloys, Ipod lead that charges, tasmods, rrsport.co.uk stickers

Isn't it a menu option whether you have all the doors open at the same time? Mine do from the drivers door. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

Thats a door lock button on mine............just touch the handle nomally, but if drivers door thats all it opens, touch a back door and it opens all doors. As richard says i think you can change that in the options menu. MY10 3.0 HSE Santorini Black, Ivory Premium & extended leather, privacy, paddles, diamond turned alloys, Ipod lead that charges, tasmods, rrsport.co.uk stickers
