Nick you have to buy the full upgrade box i am afraid and move to Snow Leopard, facing the same hassle in terms of purchasing Aperture 3 (still not committed yet).. requires 10.5 as minimum and the IMAC is 10.4 (Tiger), thought it was not worth it in the end as i have a Macbook PRO which came with Snow Leopard, so will just have to do my photo editing on the laptop..

You can upgrade directly from 10.4 to 10.6 using the leopard to snow leopard (10.5-10.6 upgrade) update disk which is £25 , see apple website. it tells u that it is the disk will only update 10.5 to 10,6 but believe me as i upgraded both my 10.4 machines with same disk. |

Wardpg - thanks and also to Fox for the CD's - I manages to upgrade from Tiger to Snow Leopard - took 45 mins but worked - and iPad sync'd too! Although many people have problems with the new itunes version 9.1.1 - so had to reinstall itunes again and all worked ok - got much on the iPad, and got to say it's a cracking product - anyone fancying buying my Mac Book Pro 17'' and a 12'' Powerbook!!! (collectable now I've been told!)
