Which Jet Wash

In the market for a jet wash for cleaning my vehicles, can anyone save me some time and money by recommending one?

Thanks Thumbs Up

IMHO cant go wrong with any of the Karcher range. Ive had mine for about 10 years and its had some serious, weekly abuse between washing cars, patios and paving and its still going strong. I think you gets what you pays for! FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

Hmm, I've had several Karchers and none of them have lasted that long without needing to be repaired. I wouldn't recommend them over the other makes but at least they are easy to get fixed.

They are great pieces of kits, lots of uses around the home/garden. I'd recommend getting one with all the accessories included such as the patio cleaner attachment as they are expensive to buy on their own. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

Im with Bradders & Richard, Got 1 at home & 1 @ work both get good use & have never let us down. Also agree that you need to get as many `bits` in the box as you can. I couldnt believe how much a lance was, does not seem to be as good as the one it came with either. Rolls Royce Ghost, RRS 2.7 TDV6, E220 Avantgarde Estate.

Hi

I personally would opt for the Karcher equipment, I have had one for years and like the others it gets regular use on cars, caravan, drive and patios, I would not be without it. I agree that the accessories can be expensive, I had to renew my patio cleaning lance and it cost me £40 which I thought was a bit of a rip off , but it was from Halfrauds!

If you have a Costco card I would buy from there as you will get a good deal and if it should go wrong just take it back, I have taken things back which I have had for 2 - 3 years and they have always given me my money back without question.

I've had karchers and each ones blown on
me

I just bought a Nilfisk alto E140 from www.cleanstore.co.uk for £202 including patio cleaner, lance brush(for the caravan not the car)

It's not All about the power of the jet but more to do with flow rate, higher the better,

Also check specs on pump, some karcher cheap models have plastic pumps and parts which is why they fail so often

Guys

Regarding the issue with the Karcher "blowing" I had this problem a few years ago which resulted in me taking three washers back to Costco in one day!

Eventually after speaking directly to Karcher technical in the UK it turned out that the problem was caused by my hose having a cutoff valve to enable me to change spray heads etc without turning the water off at the tap. As soon as I removed the valve from the hose the problem was cured, been using the same unit for years now without issue. Unfortunately there was no mention in the manual about not having any one way valves on the hose!

Got Karcher too, was quite an expensive one £270, bought over 7 years ago, it has frozen solid on various winters but defrosted without splitting anything. You gets what you pay for, will def buy another when the time comes Thumbs Up 2010 Alaska white 3.6TDi v8, heated steering wheel, Ipod connection, Aribica extended leather, Digital TV, voice activation, privacy glass, Dynamic pack

I have heard of the hoselock restrictor valves causing problems, I gave them without that way it doesn't restrict water flow too

When I was looking and was undecided I found these two karchers giving good spec's

I liked the idea of the garden hose reeling on the k6.75 and another one I nearly went for K7.85

I have the K7.85 and had it for more than 3 years this winter was the only time I had a problem when the water in the hose froze and burst the lance, replaced it and it works fine. I too have a hose without a cut off valve just for use with the K7.85 I also have a filter in line with mine as I have a well that provides water for most of the services in the house and sometimes a little fine sand comes through and I don't want to sand blast the car! Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh
