2am on Wednesday morning this week my wife woke me to say ‘I think it’s started’ – our second child was on its way to be born.

After packing the RRS and lowering to access height, we left for the 45 min drive to the hospital only to be faced with a blizzard and 70mm of fresh snow covering the motorway – ‘RRS please be good, be very good’ I begged.

We are fortunate that living in Sweden we drive the whole winter season on studded tyres, which on my car are only a few weeks old and very sharp.

As the clock ticked away my wife became more and more demanding that we 'get there NOW'

Set on GGS TR, our RRS performed phenomenally well and we arrived without a single moment of worry, sliding and within 40 mins – quicker than I would normally have expected even on just wet roads.

On arrival, my wife was VERY far gone in her labour and 42 mins later our second child was born.

We have so much praise for our RRS, without the confidence, ability and performance it gave us on Wednesday morning it is without doubt the situation would have had a much less pleasant outcome.
