United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black
TDV8 Market Value

I am thinking off selling my Range Rover Sport TDV8, 57, in black and used webuyanycar.com for an approximate valuation in October and came back at £31.5K - did it today and it was £27K Shocked Does this really reflect market conditions at the moment? Mileage is 37K and it is near perfect condition.

Scotland 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black

According to the Nov Glass Guide a TDV8 on a 57 books at:

£34150 - Trade
£37350 - Retail

These figures assume the car has done 26k

With the milage adjustment to 40k the guide suggest a reduction of £2300

So a fair trade in price would be around £32k with a dealer retailing that car at around £35k. Bear in mind the valuation books are simply a guide.

Webuyanycar simply send their vehicles to auction and assume a profit, so they will always fall behind book price and on the big money vehicles they will be at least 10% behind book value. The Scottish outlets use my local car auction house i actually buy some of their stock from time to time.

Hope this helps

ps dont use we buy any car as a valuation measurement stick

Happy to provide anyone else with book values Thumbs Up

Andy, there is still a big difference between the 'guide' price and what dealers will be willing to pay. It is affected by how many vehicles you are holding in total (capital employed), and if you have any duplications of the same car due in by way of part-exchange etc or what's already on your forecourt. The best bet is to shop around (as most people do) to find the most attractive package for you as it will vary from dealer to dealer.

Please don't take our commercial offer personally, as it always based on ecconomics etc and the fact that our average spend per used RRS (to meet LR Approved Used Standards) is running at £1,100 per unit to make sure that the next owner has trouble-free motoring, which has to be factored in to the original transaction.

If you want to revisit the deal then please feel free to get back in touch and we'll do our very best for you.

James Thumbs Up
