The Beckhams got my car

Howdy,

Long time lurker, first time poster, but thought I'd share an interesting thing that happened. After months of agonizing over colors and options, I finally decided I needed a 2010 RRS S/C black on ivory with almost all the options. My dealer tells me that production of S/C are halted for some reason and that it may take many months to get, so we start looking at inventory around the country. In the whole country, there's only 1 that remotely matches my criteria, out on the east coast. Today they finally got a hold of that dealership to try and trade for it but they said that it had just been shipped to L.A. ... for Victoria Beckham!

I don't know whether to be ashamed that I'm in league with a footballer's wife, or honored that someone who could afford any car in the world chose the same as I.

I would be embarassed to my core. She's a tasteless fat faced bint who has cash without class but thinks she's something special. Her taste in most other things is appalling (we've all seen the wedding pictures) so she must have just lucked out on a random purchase for her car.

Still, personal dislike of podge spice aside, it is a nice car Very Happy

Sounds like a load of boll*cks to me.'Laughing'

A right hooker in L.A. (the car that is, not the recipient) that can't be EPA approved, so won't get registration papers.

Nice dealer story, probably dreamt up in the pub!'Yawn' .

There is absolutely no substitute for a genuine lack of preparation.

TDV8 HSE MY10 with pretty much everything including a vase of daffs on the back shelf, tropical fish collection in the centre console, hamsters in the spare tyre and finally sheep on the passenger seats.....for weight distribution, what else??

I don't know, I remember the days when the facts were irrelevant to a good story!

Sorry, but I couldn't get the 'hooker' bit in any other way!'Laughing' .

Haha, yeah USA, so nothin' but left hookers around here. I think the "embarrassed" comment was spot on. I'll have to add a winch or something to differentiate myself.

I was wondering why she needed the locking rear diff option, but then discovered she commissioned a customized terrain response Smile
