2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
17th June 2010?

Significant for LR because according to Autocar today that day could be the date that LRX,in production form might be unveiled to the public. Significance? Well apparently the original RR was unveiled on that date in 1970 so it will be RR's 40th birthday! It also states that the final version "will differ from the concept" Oh well I was hoping it would stay very close to the concept as to me the 3 door LRX looks fantastic and would suit me to a T as my next car........................ if NFRR (No Fat Range Rover Mr. Green ) isn't going to look like the LRX I might as well buy a Honda CRV instead. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

New CRV out in Sept Tim Wink

I'll be having to think about this end next year when I retire. Options-

1) Keep current RRS which i love to drive.
2) Downsize to LRX
3) Downsize to FL2
4) Buy a newer secondhand RRS/FFRR

Options 2, 3 and 4 would cost me more in the short term because none are likely to be covered by the second hand value of my RRS.

But I do like the look of the LRX. But will have to see it in the flesh.

Any thoughts guys Question TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone

Am I the only one who finds the LRX test mule pictured at the 'ring a bit... underwhelming to look at? Hopefully it's just a very early mule. So far it looks like a Freelander Light and those tiny brakes don't seem to scream performance.

Does look a bit poor, but I suppose this is being used as a mule for something internal - there's no camouflage or anything to try and hide any externals.

Freelander 1 mule's were Austin Meastro Van's on top of a Freelander floor pan.

Those are not 'official' dates as it says 'could be' and probably'..............................

Can't be far off though we hope!

James Thumbs Up
