United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Java Black

Alot try and make on the servicing instead of sales, the hourly rate in London is approaching £130 per hour.

Had similiar experience in BMW, that's what made me opt for the RRS. So they did me a favour really. (I can be somewhat impetuos sometimes).

A friend had similiar exp at same BMW dealer, when trying to buy a 650 cab, they wouldn't stay open after 6pm to sign the paperwork Shocked

So they went to the one 10 miles away and gave them their £50k.

As you say BMW must be doing well if the're pushing customers out the door.

You don't have to have your car serviced in Central London to have to pay that labour rate, even in the country towns here you can pay that at a Land Rover dealership. I suspect there may be some pressure or, dare I mention it, a gentlemans' agreement between Land Rover and the dealers and it sucks. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Really Tim,

thought it was just us down here who were getting shafted. Shocked

They use the high Rent/Rates arguement here. Guess you get the same up there as well.

I understand they have to spend on the kit and tools etc, and the manufacturer's insist on the showrooms being kitted out with all the plate glass and signage only available from themselves or their suppliers.

But some of them should be wearing masks when they're robbing me Mad
P.S. no dealings with CHPR, so they're not included in above statement.
Also think this thread's beeen somewhat hijacked, sorry James Thumbs Up

Only one dealer for me CHPR Thumbs Up although servicing is a bit of a trip so done locally, i have just had 15K done for £300 and that was a drop from 1st quote at £370 just by playing a few off against each other as all wanted to price match except York

VA there is a huge export market for used cars from the UK, although not as big as the market for 10 year old Japanese cars. We have a huge export market of quality used cars to Malaysia, there are even export only used car dealers here. We carry lots of the cars on the ship, although I don't rate the changes of the D3 arriving in Uganda without a few scraps and bumps too highly as D3 is too wide to fit into a standard 20ft container which means it will have to either fly out or be shipped out on the open deck and then driven from Mombasa or Dar es Salam to Uganda.............................. How do you fancy a cheap safari in East Africa to do the delivery? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Best dealer I dealt with was Calterdon BMW in Inverness for my 5 series. NOTHING was too much trouble for them. The DVLA held up the plate transfer from my Audi so I couldnt pick it up on the Saturday as planned and I was due to be down in the borders from Monday so they sorted the plate out, stuck it on a trailer and delivered it FOC to me in the borders after stopping of to have it washd down due to rain en route down the A9!! 1st class service!! T n C for the Sport were good but product knowledge could have been better! Worst was a Croydon Volvo/JLR dealer for my xc! Not one iota of after sales service from them at all!! 2nd worst local Audi dealer. When I complained about an A6 3.0tdi le mans s-line quattro only doing 19mpg and changing down with an almighty BANG using the kickdown the sales manager told me I was stupid and naive expecting more than 19 from the car and ignored the gearbox prob. He was then politely asked which was his favourite window in the showroom for exiting head first!!!!! Whistle Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.

535d m-sport Platinum grey and a few extras.... Gone

X5 3.0 sd in Space Grey, 20's, Dynamic Pack, Memory Pack, Media Pack, Tow Pack, Rear DVD, Panoramic Sunroof, Steps, 7 Seat Pack, Reversing Camera with moving lines, programmable park heat, etc etc etc - Gone

Range Rover Sport Santorini, privacy, dvd, towpack GONE!!!
