roof mounted dvd, hi guys, has anybody fitted a non landrover roof mounted dvd player? and if so does the alarm sensor in the roof need removing and is there a power source in there?

Take a look at my pics - I had one fitted when I first got the car - never thought it would keep the kids so engrossed on a long trip!

The alarm sensor does need to be moved but it's not a big job.

Take the plunge!

hi jonathan, took a look at your pics, couldnt se the dvd but nice car!, any chance on bit more info, on how its done , ie 12v power source,does it come from the roof sensor? cheers

I have a Rosen A7 unit unused that i've been looking to move on if interested..... there is an LR adapter that has the leads etc to mount it so it should be pretty easy - i have just never bothered with it - seemed like a good idea at the time that was all

Why not just install headrest units. We have two of them each able to play different dvds with IR headphones plus remote and the ability to play via the cars sound system (if I want to hear Hanna Montana singing).

The dealer had them fitted when we bought the car, took a day to do and looks and sounds great (the system that is not Hanna ) Brit across the Pond
