United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Santorini Black
Please can anyone help me

Hi there I am a new member, the forum is great Ive spent the last 4 hours non stop reading. I am wanting to purchase a RRS HSE, cannot decide whether V6 or V8.

I have a budget of around £30k and I was wondering what I could get for my money. In an ideal world I would like a Metalic Black with Black leather hopefully 2008 08 model, do you think I am asking for a bit too much?

Any buying advice would be fantastic or general hints and tips on what to look out for. Really cant wait to purchase my RRS. Many thanks
Gary

You could get an early 2007 TDV8 or an early 2008 TDV6 if you are lucky. If you go for the TDV6 get an HSE if possible but I would go for the TDV8 (HSE is standard) - it's great. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

many thanks, can you recommend any good dealers or websites I can start looking on.

Are all TDV8 similar spec or did the shape change slightly, or is a 2007 model TDV8 the exactly the same as a 2009 TDV8 apart from the personal added specifications.

cheers

The specs change ever so slightly every year but no real massive changes from an 07 TDV8 to an 09 one.

Little things like tail lights and side indicators, different colors....think the 07 does not have an electric steering column but no big deal.

Have at look at the sponsors section (top right of the page) to see their prices and have a look at auto trader for current prices.

I certainly agree that a slightly older TDV8 is a better choice than a newer TDV6.

You can get a very good TDv6 for £30k but a couple of K more will get you an early TDv8. That engine puts the "Sport" into RRS and comes fully loaded with most of the toys.

This one is quite near you :

http://www.usedvehicles.landrover.co.uk/co...tID=786856 although a high mileage for age and silver not black exterior. Would be worth going to see though - even if just as a bench mark vehicle / test drive mule.

Always ask to see warranty history and look for one that had few if any teething troubles. Most are fine, but one with a long history of issues should be avoided. RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini
