Oh don't worry, I know car forums very well, join one and be put off everything on the market! Can't wait to find one that says "this car has no faults whatsoever, mine's done £100k and I haven't had to change the oil once"! Yea right. Well your reply is one step in the right direction, guessing whether it's supercharged or not, the engines are fairly sound yes? At least it's not an Audi RS4 where the suspension dies evey £3K miles and the engine clogs up with wet oil in the valves every 3K miles, or the 911's where the engines go 'pop'! I just fancied a luxurious, comfortable, well built powerful machine with a good looking profile that will see me on the road more months than it's in the garage being repaired. Anything I should look out for that's a definate 'walk away from'? |

Just make sure it's well serviced, get the VIN of any you're seriously considering and ring the service dept of any LR main dealer. They should be able to tell you what work's been done on it and verify servicing etc.

Why are you single? BTW you'll get a nice Supercharged for your money - if the greenies start just tell them that the average lifespan of a RR is about 20 years and a Prius is about 9, Building cars produces as much CO2 as driving them. The RR is greener! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten 2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed. ![]() WINNER - 2009 Idler Of The Year Award Runner Up - 2009 Just Doing What Its Designed To Do Award DO NOT CLICK HERE! |

40 and single due to Wife cheating on me, so, got rid of her. It's that simple. Oh, and my best friend is a divorce lawyer so took her to the cleaners! You can't beat that can you? So, since then I've had a oh god, here we go, a Volvo C70 turbo, Jag XK8 and now the Focus ST. Jag was lovely, as was the Volvo, Focus very different but fun. Now, want an automatic again, and a good one at that. I'm getting to that age where I don't want to feel every bump in the road but want to be wafted around in comfort and luxury whilst having all the lovely little toys at my finger tips. So, RRS, Why not? |

I would also consider a FFRR SC they are good value now, put on an OF kit and the job is done. LR are not really that bad, I have had 7 and they have all had annoying problems but nothing major to cause you any serious problems.

do it. i had a focus st3 for 18months as a stop gap when i sold my m3 and before i bought my sport. ive never regreted making the switch to 4x4, best thing ive owned. handling and performance wise, once your used to it you will find yourself not far behind the hot hatch brigade, and you definately get a feeling like no other motor gives you when you own one of these. get it bought!!!!!! |
