2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black
COLOUR CODING

Hi Guys,

The old girls going in for some colour coding next week and I just wanted to take every precaution to make sure the guys at the paint shop dont break any clips or do any damage when removing all the parts to paint.

I know there are a few bits and bobs scatterd around the site but thought it might make it a bit easier for everyone to start one thread with all remove tutorial for colour coding.

I think i've got a pretty good deal:

Front grill, side vents, lower bumper/skirts all round, door handles, lower boot lip & mirrors. - £300

£300? Where did you get that?
I am looking to get only lower bumper/skirts all round done and could not get anything below £600.
For that price I would go for it right away... Thumbs Up

For that price I would run a mile.......there is NO WAY they can be doing it right for £300, no way at all.

I paid £1000 + vat for less colour coding to ensure it was right. they will just slap some paint on that will chip as soon as you jet wash.

On a £50k+ car why scrimp for a few £100?

A chap I used for my last 2 cars.

Does a perfect job every time.

Hertfordshire, let me know if thats close enough and I'll pass on his details, i'll also put up some pictures when mine is done!

I know it won't be to anyones taste, (It was about 5 years ago and I'm probably a bit younger than most of you guys), the guy thats colour coding my RRS did all the body work and colour coding on this:

I used to work at the Midlands' largest body shop once upon a time Laughing . Trust me, £300 is plenty to colour code those items......for £1000, you can strip, prep and respray a whole RRS to better than factory standard and still be in the money. The customer then gets charged 3 or 4 times that Evil or Very Mad

I had mine done a year ago for about £1000 - there is a guy on ebay offering the service for £500 and looks pretty good.....he shows a Stornoway which is his own.....check it out.

Sorry mate, don't know what that means.

Will book it in for next week and take lots of before and after pictures up for you all.

Right boys,

Sorry for the long delay, car had to go back to dealer as it had a Censored battery, and he didn't believe me... showed him a few posts on here and finally got a new one off him.

Cars booked in to get colour coded on May 5th so will get some pics up for anyone intereted asap.

Just had my colour coding completed and the transformation is awesome. It had all the lower trim done when i bought it but for some reason they didnt do the side vents, door handles or rear tailgate.

I was suprised with how much just the door handles transform the car and thats a cheap and easy mod, £80 from CH and a half hour job (if you get the correct torx screwdriver, doh)

I am now modded out for a while, anymore will just be for the sake of it, debating 22's though Very Happy

Cars all finished, only left it for 2 days. Brilliant job, really happy and only cost £350.

For that I got:

Front Grill (may change for HSt not sure yet)
Side vent surrounds
ALL bottom skirts
door handles
back pillars
rear range rover strip
headlight washer jets
top & bottom mirror surrounds

I think thats it....anyway let me know if anyone wants the guys detail, I will put the picks up when I next get it polished.
