Had a friend's Cayenne GTS for the day with the sports exhaust on it, even has a sports mode! What a crazy sounds it makes i cant get over it i wanna order an exhaust for my RRS HSE 4.4L NOW! WHICH ONE? The Hamann is too expensive!
I dont wanna go into buying a new car plus i think the RRS looks a million times better!

The Porsche sports exhausts use a simple trick: When the "sport" button is pushed they open a flap so that the exhaust gas will leave before the rear silencer. Every good tuner can do something like that, even with the switch inside the car. (Although you have to take care: the good ones take care that the exhaust gas doesn't leave the exhaust system before the rear silencer, it will flow in a special tube around it so that it will leave the car where it should: at the end of the exhaust system.)
Best would be to find somebody who builds a sports exhaust system just for you, there you can get the switch and exactly the sound you like, if they also change the air entry into the engine that should get you a very nice sound! There are plenty of companies in Germany for individual exhaust systems on "normal" cars, I'm sure they can also do that for the RRS. I can look for some adresses if you like. But Germany could be a bit far just for the exhaust system?! And I'm pretty sure there are also specialists who can do that at your place.


On the other hand all that won't be enough to get the GTS's sound on your V8, the Porsche sound engineers are quite some masterminds!  RRS TDV6 HSE, 2006, bonatti grey, ebony interior, rear diff, s/c grille and vents, stormers, privacy, tasmods, iphone integration

an easy way is to empty (i have done that on all my former Jags - my english sux today) the middle part of the exhaust system on your RRS - you will be surprised about the sound

u mean my RRS engine is same as in the jag's right? cuz theyre all owned by ford during that time? before the indians bought LR!

so just replace the middle box with a Stainless steel pipe and we're pushing aston martin sounds? maybe i want an active exhaust

i remember when clarkson was like i know its an active exhaust i know its fake but i love it i cant stop listening to it!!!

Seeing as it's a 4.4V8 I would imagine what he would get would be an unmuffled BMW sound.........................  2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

But since it is not a supercharged enginge, emptying the middle part will affect his performance, so he will perhaps lose some horsepower.
I'd say, get a good sports exhaust, it won't cost a fortune and they can design the sound you like (although it will never be as good as the GTS or the Aston Martin, if you had a SC that should be possible to let it sound like the AM, I guess).  RRS TDV6 HSE, 2006, bonatti grey, ebony interior, rear diff, s/c grille and vents, stormers, privacy, tasmods, iphone integration
