The Range Rover Sport Market?

I see the stealers are having a right moan about not being able to shift new cars Big Cry , and its not just RR Sports its pretty much every make worth speaking about. My question is, how do they expect to sell anything with the trade in prices they are offering at present?

I was offered pretty much pea nuts for my 08 plate RRS TDV8 in a trade 2 weeks ago, the stealers bang on about nobody wanting big 4 x4s anymore and offer you sweets for your trade it but are still trying to get the RRP on a brand new RRS.

Anyone in the trade, or not, care to hazard a guess at the PTC figure owners of 08 plates TDV8s are going to be charged to get into an identical 09 plate?
Thumbs Up

Tom Hartley have got a very low mileage Audi R8 up for £59995.....times must be tough - still thik people are worried about buying bargains even, as they might still fall further. £50K AM V8's seem great value.....but how much lower??

To start with I was offered £28k which was increased to £32k within 30 mins of hanging up, pretty sure the dealer wanted £52k for an 09 plate. Are the cars at £45k Uk supplied or Uk spec cars?

So your suggesting that dealers should give higher allowances for part exchange vehicles in order to sell new cars and no doubt your going to search the internet for the very best price on the new car and expect the dealer to match it.

What do you expect the dealer to do with your over valued used car, sell it at a loss ? Perrys For New & Used Range Rover Sports

You can get full UK spec UK cars from most dealers for sub £45k with a little work.
Have you considered trying to sell your car privately so that you can enter the dealers in a stronger position.

It might be worth talking to Charles at CHPR, I know they need decent used stock at the moment, they might me able to use some dealer incentives to move some more new cars and reduce the difference you need to pay to upgrade.

Of course the question at the back of my mind is why do you want to swap your MY08 in the first place?????

With the state of the private market dazsear - I fear he would do no better.........it really is dire out there. Only when the comedians in gov't push cash in the right direction will this mess get resolved and at this stage it looks a long, long road to recovery.

Hey ho......it's not all bad, I got my almost new HST for £40k so I'm happy.
Might not be quite so happy when I come to sell but no plans of that in the near future.

I suppose it's all relative I guess.

A PTC figure of £13k is a lot easier to swallow than the initial £24k I was offered. My best bet is to stick with what I have and see where we are after this reccession ends. Add me to the list of not buying a new car Thumbs Up
