Tested the brembos today with Mrs VA in the car! Cool Love the cornering lights that go on when you enter a turn, a little disconcerting at first but again Cool Been playing with the ACC - now I don't trust this but it seems to work, I doubt it would stop you in an emergency though. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

If anyone has the TDV6 - SELL IT GET A TDV8! The TDV8 is just a totally different car - it is miles better than the TDV6! This is the car the RRS should have been from launch. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

VA The ACC is very good 95% of the time. It will not pull you up in an emergency but it will slow you down to the same speed as the car in front of you. The biggest drawback with it is that you cannot disengage it to make it old fashioned cruise. Another is that if some idiot overtakes you and then dives in close in front of you the ACC will slam on the brakes (and you've probably now found out just how powerful they are as they are awsome Mr. Green ) until the gap between you and him is right................................. this could mean having soembody run right into the back of you because the brakes are so good. What is imprssive is that when the car in front creates a big enough gap you will accelerate back up to the set speed. Have you noticed the difference between the set and indicated speeds when the ACC is working.
Having said the above the ACC did save my life last year - I was driving along a very familiar road in thick fog, ACC on at 30mph when the car suddenly slowed right down....................... when I disengaged the ACC and pulled a bit further up the road I found 20ft in front of me was an unlit tractor and trailer doing 5mph - the ACC had picked it up on the maximum gap setting! Now the 2010MY really needs a proper Radar display in the satnav! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

... then get the mutha chipped and scare the bejappers out of ya ... once chipped the horizon gets reeled in towards ya a whole lot fasta !

Seriously though - I was starting to take the TDv8 for granted until Gareth and Bobbycrispbox from the D3 forum took her out for an extended test drive recently. To say both were "blown away" by how well she drives (speed, cornering and sound) would be an understatement. And she does better mpg's than their D3's.

I think I might just have spoilt their love of their D3's as they are now seriously working out how to get into a RRS TDv8 (or how to get a TDv8 into a D3) Thumbs Up RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini
