In fact the missing boot closing mechanism was the only thing that made me hesitate before buying the RRS, I do love gadgets (I say "navigation, I'm hungry" almost every two hours in my RRS... ) and I would have loved the automatic boot lid in my car. The Q7 also has a little more space, two more seats (for very small people indeed) and a very nice reverse camera. That was about everything I can think of the Q7 being better than the RRS, as for the RRS's points: It is way better equiped (if you buy new this means the Q7 wil be significantly more expensive, if you buy a used one you will never find a Q7 with all the options the RRS HSE or SC has as standard), it feels better to drive, it's not as much of a football-mom's car, it can go offroad really well.... But all of that doesn't matter, just look at the two cars, this is the most important difference and this will make the decision for every person with taste: the jacked up minivan from Audi: the Range Rover Sport: I do like the Q7 really a lot, to be honest, I think it even looks good from the front, but from the side or the back it does look like a minivan. It may in fact be the better car when buying depends on objective thinking but buying a car should never be an objective decision, it has to do with emotions, good looks, how the car feels like to drive and how you feel when driving the car and that's why the RRS won me over! RRS TDV6 HSE, 2006, bonatti grey, ebony interior, rear diff, s/c grille and vents, stormers, privacy, tasmods, iphone integration |

Why not have them both on extended test so you can be sure before parting with the cash For me the RRS is a fantastic looking car and will tow most things effortlessly. However (and I'm going to get shot for this) the interior in the RRS doesn't have the quality of the Q7 IMHO. Although functional it is very Ford-ish. Not to mention the knocking As I think VA said boot space can be an issue as well. That said, I had an RRS because the Q7 looked like it had been driven through the ugly forest and hit several trees Current: I can't say...Oh the Shame! Gone: 2003 Audi S4 - 340BHP of Fun Gone: 2005 RRS SE, Silver, Chrome Mirrors, Tinted with a stupid spare wheel! Gone: Audi A4 2.5 TDi Quattro 180bhp Gone: BMW 535i Gone: 1985 Audi Quattro Gone: Subaru Imprezza Turbo (rubbish) |

At least I voted for the RRS, could we please first hang the two traitors who voted for the Q7?

It's one of those choices which cannot be explained logically.
