My beloved piece of Solihull's finest went in to have the brake pads, sensors and discs replaced, on the road test it was found to have now what seems to be a larger problem that my dealer is claiming a major world wide issue, which i cannot find on here in terms of posts or known problems, the vehicle is now in dock until they can secure a new part

Are you aware of any tech bulletins or major issues with the Vacuum pump for the Brake Assistance Servo on Turbo diesels, I am about to go garity on them as we have a weekend 4wd expedition this weekend with fellow ANZ members which has cost a small fortune and the piece of cr@p that is the toyota corrolla hatch loan car that LR gave me will take a severe battering and is unlikely to be adept to rock crawling. Hence why i will be pushing LR Australia or the dealer for a nice shiney 4wd to batter if mine is not ready

Any help on the validity of what the dealer is claiming would be appreciated, in particular in regard to a world wide shortage of pumps

My RRS has been off tarmac....I went on a dirt road the other day for about 12km to take Mrs BKHK to a winery where there was a classical concert. On the vehicle front... the dealership has done a sterling job and i have my Sport back, a nice list of replacement parts:

Problem described by the technician as a "Hard Brake Pedal" due to internal brake booster fault

Kit M/CYL -Brake : Booster Assy Brake : Pump Assembly and a couple of Vacuum tubes

It was returned just in time for the ANZ members Snowy Mountains weekend off-road experience , no doubt some pictures to be posted on here sometime next week of 640's, 2nd Rowers, Working Dog, Iverys, Grants and moi's off-road escapades
