Hello Chaps,

has anyone made a solid parcel shelf to replace the roller blind?

I think a 2 piece hinged one like the old RR classic would work just great allowing full boot access and looking a lot neater.

after a quick google it seems several companies offer a custom build service using lots of MDF for speaker mounting...

I dont think we need a shelf hefty enough for speaker mounting but a nice carpeted shelf to match the interior might be a nice addition.

I know a couple of custom fibreglass moulders who could make a one off or moulds for production (might be useful for a group buy for the forum)

I will explore the difficulty of making one for myself but I don't want to reinvent the wheel if someone has already done it....

Anyone???

Like the one in the FL1 as well, I suppose... I've not heard of one. How expensive would it be to get one fabricated?

I think one could be made for between 50 and 100 quid depending if it's wood or fibreglass ...

Or as fitted in the current FFRR

I too would much prefer a more rigid shelf, rather than the roller blind. Which isn't much better than the one in my '95 Discovery
