Scotland 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black
SuperCharged RRS Boot lid Paintwork

My apologies if this has been asked before, im a new member and have a problem with my RRS.
Its an 05 plate and when l bought it it, i noticed that the paint work on the boot lid (where the glass lid sits once closed) was scratched and had rubbed through to the metal. Although the garage that l bought the RRS from is not a Land Rover dealer, they said that this was a common problem with all RRS's??

It was painted this week and lv had the vehicle back for two days and already the new paint is scratched!!
Any one else had this problem??

No that's utter rubish. Heard of it rattling but not since the very first editions.

Sounds like the previous owner didn't bother to get it fixed.... something that should be faily easy to resolve.

But it sounds like the lid needs some adjustment and/or new rubber bushes installed. Suggest you take it to a dealer and get it fixed before your next paint job. TDV6 - gone

Not heard of it with the glass hatch before, but there were a few reports of a similar problem with the main hatch a few years ago. The resolution involved screwing out the bump stops a few revolutions so it didn't close directly against the paintwork.
