So long and thanks for all the fish.....

... or perhaps that should be TATA??? Rolling Eyes

I've had enough - after a years ownership of my TDV6 HSE I've been offered an excellent deal and am going back to BMW - wish I'd just waited until the new E70 M Sport models were available instead of trying the RRS last year...

Reasons :-

Banging suspension - fixed at 4000 miles thanks to this forum and back with a vengeance at 6000 miles

Nasty turbo lag from 5-10mph (i.e. at roundabouts and junctions when you really don't need it)

Fit and finish not up to what I'd expect for the thick end of £50k (rear headrests visibly shake and rattle all the time and yes, I had the wheel balances checked)

Apathetic dealership locally - left on hold in limbo-land between switchboard and service dept (chargeable on an 08 number and listening to round-robin phone extension ringing) on numerous occasions

Thank heavens for the tax and VAT advantages of business leasing!

Bye all - it's been great here, anyway! Maybe see you on X5World.com or X5Drivers.co.uk sometime!!

Which model have you gone for out of interest?

You're more than welcome to hang about J, there's no rule here that says you have to own an RRS to participate Thumbs Up

Indeed, we might be interested in the views of someone who runs one of the competition Thumbs Up

I can understand Sad Sad Jim, must admit I do like the new X5 very nice (but keep that between us or they will knock me) Wink

Unfortunately I am a die hard LR fan, wish I wasn't. But only until I can get myself a G55 AMG then it will be bye bye for good unless it is a pre 70's LR they are the best.

Good luck mate, don't leave though there are other traitor's on this forum. They know who they are. Shocked
