FANTASTIC.... Thumbs Up Bow down Thumbs Up Bow down

I might be on for a blast on Fri if it all works out! Heard some recurring complaints about it not being quite so planted as the E46, with less feedback through the front wheels.... what did you think mate? Question

You sit a lot higher in this car, and you are aware of its size and weight.. but its bloody quick.. and the soundtrack is much better then the E46..

I thought it felt very good, and given that it was a bit wet this morning too, it was very sure footed. Not even a hint of swinging out, its very flat.. but the most impressive bits for me were the clutch and the gearbox.. the RS4 was very notchy, used to have to really wrench it into 2nd gear for example.. and if you messed up an upshift.. that was it.. the M3 is very slick, very comfortable.. Not the most racing defined car i don't think, so understand why some hardcore enthusiasts will get upset, but they can wait for the CSL isn't it! most of the M3 drivers will need a more comfortable car for city/commuting so i think its set up very well..

Plus it shouts quite loudly when prodded, and goes like stink, has the badge, and the stats, so a good all rounder... was avergaing 19.3mpg all through our test drive, so its better then the RS4 on juice so far..

I was catching up on last week's when the Sky+ box turned itself off, which it does on an ever increasing basis - piece of sh*t. So retrying for Saturdays with the built-in signing woman... Rolling Eyes

Somebody's uploaded it already tho (I presume this is it):

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

In the meantime, heard from my dealer just now that nobody seems to be putting mileage on their demo for some insane reason so I need to wait until the magic 1200 miles has past.... I can't imagine the DP hasn't bagged it as his daily driver. I did offer Wink
