Spec'd mine on saturday, after a lot of deliberation gone for Jerez Black with Novillo Fox Red Interior.

Had:
19" Wheels
Elec Folding Mirrors
Floor Mats
Storage Compartment Pack
Front Seat Heating
Mirror Anthracite Wood Trim
Adaptive Headlights
Bmw Assist
Voice Control
Bluetooth Telematics
Hi Fi Sys Logic 7 Prof DSP
US/Audio Interface
High Gloss Shadow Line
Sun Protection Glass.

All for a bargain price of: £54,265.00 OTR.
Worked out about £700 over the RS4 so not too bad, in comparison.
Think this will be better on residuals so should finance up a little cheaper per month also..
Love spec'ing cars.. can't bloody wait now though, hope it looks the biz..

Will be for sale within 6 months of having it, so anyone got their eyes on one, let me know can sort you out a price on this one! The marketing/promo machine is definitely up and running now..

Just had an invite card come through from Bmw from my local dealer.
Sept 8th/9th 2007 launch weekend, i emailed my sales guy, warning blood will be spilt if i don't get an early test drive!! they want more money though now which is going to cause arguments i guess!

Very nice.... due to illness I didn't get to go to mine. Oddly though, I got invites from my local dealer, my usual supplying dealer and for some bizarre reason the dealer in Brighton that I've never had any dealings with at all Confused

Have just arrived back from my test drive in the M3.. it was made available for test drive for customers (after doing its run in 1200 miles) this morning at 10am, and as promised by my dealer, i was the first to get the call.

Turned up, went through the usual bull crap of letting the driver drive out of the showroom, stopped on the corner and did a swap. Had the power button on and EDC on Sport (as if it will be on my car without the adjustable EDC). first impressions, no where near as loud as my RS4, and no where near as intrusive. The clutch is beautiful, and even though i've been driving auto's for a good 9 months now, i didn't jerk the gears once! very nice smooth gearbox, and very comfortable and nice to drive.. but hang on! this is an M3? supposed to be loud and abusive etc?

Well, when you get going, the V8 whine is audible and sounds very nice. The power bulge on the bonnet reminds you what your sitting on, and when you let it rip, which believe me i did a number of times! after 4,000 rpm... SUPERB!! really goes for it, and suddenly jumps into life and starts shouting.. very very good handling, and not crashy like the 335 was on the runflats! steering feel superb and the brakes awesome.. but the biggest thing about this car, despite having quite a bit of rainfall over night, the sun was shining, and we really got a good go in it, across town/country/dual carriageway etc.. near the LR factory on the solihull by pass, did a three truck over take and the revs never end!! you're up to (near Wink ) illegal speeds in third gear, but as soon as you knock it up a few gears and let off, it becomes a comfortable cruiser again.

This is definitely a car you can carry the kids and your parents in, and will be very easy to live with. The RS4 felt too much like a nascar or something everytime you started it up, which was great most of the time, but sometimes when you just need to cruise and drive normally, it was jerky and a bit of hard work.

I CAN'T WAIT NOW!! changed the wood effect i had gone for (black dark wood) for the leather carbon trim (would have been a major mistake having the wood.. it looks cak!!)... and cars going into spec confirmed and build next week, and is due now indicated 11/11/07.. hmm.. my birthday is on the 16th, so a nice bday gift for myself... CANNOT WAIT.

Would thoroughly reccomend anyone to go and take on for a blast, is definitely a very different beast to the E46 M3, and is going to be easier to live with then the RS4 ever was.. CANNOT WAIT!!
