United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged HSE Zermatt Silver
Push Start Button System

Morning all, searched the forum and the question might of been asked before Confused

But is there an option to get a "push button start" for the RRS?? Like the FL2?

Do Land Rover do one? Can it be retrofitted? if not I know Khan show one on their site, but then there is all the warranty issues..... thoughts?? GONE** RRS 3.0SC Silver fully loaded Smile - 2020 110 loving it

Fl2 has no "key" as such, it has a "dongle" that is put into a slot on the dash, there have been quite a few issues with it too.............................. I would imagine that fitting the satrter button from a FL2 wouldn't be impossible, but very difficult due to the cinnectivity between button and dongle and all of the car's electronic systems. You might be better to go to Kahn rather than down the LR route. Have you tried contacting Overfinch, they do bespoke interiors for RRS as well as tuning 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

............and it looks totally sh Censored t

In fact - I would go as far to say that the FL2 START button system is pathetic - Having driven a new Q7 with their Advanced Key - you know which is the better system. Audi - the keys can remain in your pocket - no need to put anything in the dash, just walk up to the car - it unlocks automatically - get in - press START - engine fires up and away you go Thumbs Up How it should be, and why the f Censored ck could'nt LandRover have got this system fitted to the mighty Supercharged Evil or Very Mad

Sxxx doesn't describe it........its been extracted from the Honda parts bin and is really an answer to a question that nobody asked! .

There is absolutely no substitute for a genuine lack of preparation.

TDV8 HSE MY10 with pretty much everything including a vase of daffs on the back shelf, tropical fish collection in the centre console, hamsters in the spare tyre and finally sheep on the passenger seats.....for weight distribution, what else??

Waste of time in the wife's Fl2, not had any problems with it, but she has a biggish bunch of keys and they rub against the dash.

Problem with all the above set ups - is they still require you to put your key/keyfob into the usual dash key slot !!!

Unlike audi - who's system "advanced key" is the way to go Thumbs Up

It's keyless entry/start/stop system is superb. Walk up to your car and @ approx 1mtr it recognizes your key and awaits your finger touch on the "sense" pad built into the door handles. . . touch these and the car unlocks...... get - in car ..... then without moving your keyfob from your pocket etc ... simply press the engine START button .... and away you go Bow down

NO clancking keys hanging from your dash - and also makes for a very quick entry/start ........... Cool

I am affraid to say - Land Rover are still in the dark ages Sad
