United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black
P440e Autobiography Order

Ordered the P440e Autobiography in Firenze with cloud/ebony interior on Saturday, added in deployable steps, front fogs, 23's along with the tracker. Misses demanded the steps, being a short arse she struggles to get in and keeps ripping skirts so i'll save the cost of therm by not having to keep buying her new ones.

The order paperwork details Sept 30th 2023 for delivery but the sales guy stated that it would probably be December 2023 before it actually shows up so we will see what happens,

Had a go in a D350 First Edition and have to admit it was great to drive and the fit and finish is better than the 494, really enjoyed the drive and I was tempted to switch but the P440 is the best option for me now so we will see how it performs, when it actually shows up of course. 2023 D350 FIRST EDITION, SANTORINI WITH CLOUD/EBONY

Thanks, the D350 First Edition in the showroom looked ace in those colours so thought I would give it a try.

I was looking at going for a late p400e instead of waiting but couldn't get my head around the 2 litre engine in a car of that size and weight, didn't feel or sound right so thought I would order one and stick with the diesel until it show's up. 2023 D350 FIRST EDITION, SANTORINI WITH CLOUD/EBONY

Hi Cantona, I was the same with planning a move from my P400 HST (L494) having ordered a new P440e autobiography. Really love my current L494 with the 3 litre ingenium petrol (a little slower than a SVR but very quick, sounds good and average economy around 28mpg), so was really excited to get a test drive for a day with the new P440e at my dealer. I drove it for over 150 miles, mixture of motorway, country lanes and A roads on west coast of Scotland. It’s a very effective car, very efficient and I’m sure for many, a brilliant car, but for me coming from my HST, it had lost it’s soul. The engine was remote and muted, it was efficiently quick buy wasn’t the same as my HST and it had lost the sharpness of handling that my current car has - I think the extra 350kg in battery weight has definitely dumbed down it’s response. I’ve now actually cancelled my order, am collecting a new P400e Defender on Saturday which is going to be used for towing horses etc (my wife loved my old D4, and very excited about the Defender - probably the car that the Disco 5 should have been). Have therefore decided she’ll take my Defender and I’ve just placed a deposit on a V6 Lotus Emira, so a completely different direction. However, am really sad to see my HST go on Saturday…. Good luck with the P440e after the SVR.

Swiggy,
100% agree with your comments regarding the 440E E which I previously commented following a test drive .
I am currently running a new Defender which I believe “ one of best cars owned”
Have ordered RRS D300 so currently have mixed feelings.
Strangely I was thinking of keeping the defender — cancelling the RRS — and you won’t believe this - ordering a new Emira for some fun driving .
Two great minds seem to agree !!
Bow down Bow down

Swiggy,

When will you get the Emira, still not delivering cars ordered 18months ago with a waiting list of at least another 18 months for orders placed now.
My toy is an Alpine A110, enormous fun.

 Tim
RRS sold and replaced with a Skoda Kodiaq after appalling RR Dealer experience and LR inability to supply new cars in any sort of reasonable time frame..

Agree - great minds, going to see a showroom Emira tomorrow after I pick up the new Defender - still very sorry to see my L494 P400 HST go tomorrow after 30,000 miles of driving with a smile! Will post some pics of both - assume you’re thinking of a V6 manual?

Mine was going to be a Charente grey a/b, fancied a small change from Carpathian. Anyway, cancelled now as think Defender will suit our lifestyle better now my daughter has a horse and box with a view to competing - don’t need to worry about the RRS getting knackered as kit is thrown in and out as the Defender more rugged!

That’s seriously nice Timhum, lovely car but the Lotus is an itch I need to rub and am prepared to wait! Did look at an Lotus Electra - not ready for the EV world yet after a recent experience of a 400 mile hire car (EV) journey, so the Emira I hope will be a keeper!
