Compomotive + Discoverer STT

Just installed the new Compomotive PD1880 with Cooper Discoverer STT.

Just can't wait to try them, probably at the end of next week.

Still need to modify a bit the wheel's wells

Yes, they fit perfecly, well not much room round the calipers.

The only mod required it to turn 180 degrees the caliper's weights '08 RRS TDV8

I got my Compomotives yesterday. What's the tyre size of the Coopers, are these really the 275/65? In the second picture it looks as if the car is in standard height with still enough space left in the wheelarch.

I am leaning towards the less agressive BF Goodrich T/A KO in 265/65 18 which of course is an AT not an MT tyre and for offorading I have ordered manually adjustable rods (same type as the Sasquatch or Johnson rods) SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE BUG AND SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE WINDSHIELD

Hi Roland, yes they are 275/65-18

Yes, the second photo is at normal height, and when driving steadily there is enough room, but when you accelerate and the car squats a bit you can hear the rear tyres rubbing a bit.
When the rear suspension is fully compress the tyre really presses against the wheel well liner, will have to modify it.
I front, sometimes when full lock and the suspension compresses I get a small rubbing on the front of the wheel well liner.

But they look Cool '08 RRS TDV8

Wow! Those look bigger on your Sport than the same sized tires do on my L322. At standard the wheel well is full!

Are you planning on a lift for going off road? And where do you guys go? Any roadbooks etc available or any good tips?

Yes, they do fill the wheel well, I had to modify it slightly, had to bend a metal lip in the front part of the rear well, did not remove the front part of the liner yet, I will see how it goes Sunday, going for a bit of off roading.

I have the LLAMS kit for the suspensions, I can lift it +30 or + 50mm(or -20) at the turn of a switch.

As to where to go, Sunday I'm going to a Swiss army training track(organized by the dealer), last year I went in Piemonte, Italy,

Yeah - I know how it is finding places to go in central Europe. There is a meeting in the off road park in Saverne (NE of Strasbourg) in Oct for RRS/D3 owners. I thinking of going as it's not far... Even though I am a FFRR owner Whistle
